I know it seems extra to get your makeup professionally done for every little thing, but I am going to tell you why I think it's beneficial:
I am one of those people who loves to get family pictures done every year and then when the day comes, all my fellow parents know the drill, it can be a bit of a nightmare. Planning outfits, wrestling your uncooperative kids into them, making sure everyone has their hair brushed and no chocolate on their faces, the list goes on. Often I find that I didn't leave enough time for myself to get ready and then I don't love the photos of myself. I am also someone who prefers to be behind the scenes rather than in front of the camera, so when it comes time for head shots and branding photos, I like to always make sure I have lots of time to get ready so I like the photos of myself. Not to say you need a full face of makeup to look good, but I've worked with many women that say having their makeup and/or hair done for their photos made the experience much more enjoyable for them in a few ways:
It's relaxing - you have the appointment made ahead of time, you get to leave the chaos of your house and come chill while someone else does all the work to get you ready. Take something off your plate so you can enjoy the experience more.
It's confidence boosting - there's nothing better than looking back on your photos and loving the way you look in them. Your hair, makeup and outfit are all on point and now you're much more likely to share these photos you invested in and hang them in your home.
It get's you loose - some people don't love being in front of the camera, and when you're feeling uncomfortable it shows. As makeup artists we are professional hype people, we're going to gas you up and make sure you get out all of those pre-photoshoot jitters. I wanna see those real smiles in your photos.
You'll get the most out of your photos - we are used to working together and we know what will look good on camera and what colours will work well with your skin tone. This will help your photographer when they are editing and your photos will come out stunning and natural.
